We can look at home for clever hiding places for certain valuables that we want to keep safe.
It can be jewelry, money, some valuable souvenir, that many times we do not know where to place them so that thieves if they ever enter our home cannot find them.

A drawer with a false bottom
Drawers don’t go all the way to the back of a cabinet, and there’s usually a bit of space at the bottom as well. You can put cash or important papers in an envelope and tape them to the back or bottom of a drawer.
Behind a plug
At home we often have plugs that we do not use because we have placed them elsewhere, and those spaces serve as great hiding places. We can take advantage of the hole behind them to store cash, rings, bracelets, valuables that are small.
Placing a plant in a fake pot
Most people have a few potted plants around the house, why not take that idea and turn one into a fake potted plant with a hidden compartment for valuables.
If we have two or three plants of this style, they are very difficult hiding places to find.
Keep in mind that there are beautiful artificial plants that we do not have to add water to.
Behind a painting
If you have several paintings at home and you have many valuables, you can place one or two safes behind different paintings. They are ideal hiding places because the thief in addition to finding out the key, will have to search behind all the pictures .
Mayonnaise jars
You can take an old jar of mayonnaise and another of light mayonnaise, wash them and paint them an ivory color. That way it looks like they are still full and blocks what is actually there inside the jar.
You can put money in them and really the jars are ideal hiding places in which they will not look if they are full of the product.
In the garage
In this place they have ideal hiding places such as inside boxes marked with labels that say: “Christmas decorations“, “Children’s clothing”, “School projects”, and so on. Again, the more boxes you have, the longer the thief will have to search, to find something worth stealing.
Fake containers
They can be placed in the kitchen cupboard, under the sink, and in the bathroom, as fake food cans and boxes, fake cleaning product bottles, and personal hygiene items.
You can create your containers that will be your own hiding places. Put labels on the boxes or paint the cans and put the name of the product in question. They are places that thieves would not stop looking.
Hollow books
You’ve seen those old books hollowed out in movies that people use for storage. Well, you can make your own and it is very easy to do.
You can buy an old book (if you don’t already have one to use) at most really cheap bookstores and then you just have to hollow out the inside to keep your valuables safe.
You put it in your home library and it will be one more book. Very complicated for thieves to have time to review each book one by one.
The rest of a ladder
Ideal hiding places are a ladder break or using a step. It is perfect for storing safes or anything you need to hide.
Depending on where you choose to build your storage, you may have a little more room to hide larger items.
As we have seen, they are quite original hiding places and very difficult for thieves. At least it is going to take them a long time to try to decipher or find something of value in our house.
