October is coming to an end relentlessly, and while you are still looking for unusual looks and decorations to celebrate Halloween, we have prepared an article introducing new ideas for themed decor. Perhaps they will be useful to our readers and will help to decorate the house in a stylish and not trivial way, which we, in turn, are completely sure of.
Wreaths
A mandatory attribute of autumn decorations today is a wreath, woven from green or dry branches, and decorated with a variety of objects. In the run-up to Halloween, try experimenting with the look, making it more creative and appropriate for the occasion. For example, you can entangle a wreath with a special fluffy thread that resembles a cobweb and attach figures of mice, spiders or birds to it, as shown in the photo below.
Red-orange
The second month of autumn is the time when parks, gardens and forests are painted in the most beautiful shades of gold, as well as red, burgundy, orange. Gather fresh fallen leaves on the eve of the holiday, and decorate your house or apartment with them, collecting them in lush bouquets, sprinkling the floor, or hanging them on the walls. You can make a bright garland of yellow and orange maple leaves, and paint some of them black or gold.
Decorative pumpkins
It is not at all necessary to decorate the interior with large pumpkins, especially if you are not a fan of dishes made from their pulp (and, after all, you will have to do something with the pumpkin after the holiday). Alternatively, we suggest using an equally spectacular decoration: mini pumpkins. They come in different colours and shapes but grow no more than 15-20 cm in diameter and height. It is appropriate to decorate any surface and area in the house with such pumpkins, for example, a festive table, fireplace, console, wall shelves and racks.
Exquisite range
A ripe orange pumpkin is a Halloween calling card that no themed party can do without. Nevertheless, we propose to deviate a little from the generally accepted traditions and, for example, choose to decorate pumpkins with a skin of white, gray and gray-green colours. Some can be partially overcoated with gold or silver paint in a balloon to give the composition a more festive, bohemian look.
If the table setting is designed in neutral colours with shimmering accents, then decorative pumpkins in natural colours with metallic highlights will perfectly suit and support the overall concept of festive decorations.
Thematic lamps
We strongly recommend that you decorate your holiday with additional lighting. These can be candles in candlesticks and glass floor lamps, candle holders and holders for candles made with your own hands from the same pumpkins, as well as lamps in the form of torches or skulls purchased at decor stores.
In addition, you can decorate wall sconces by entangling them with a black transparent veil or use a luminous garland with black tulle, for example, to decorate stair railings.
Black and gloss
Halloween is, first of all, a mystical holiday, which means that a little mystery in the interior design will not hurt. Black, used in decor and serving, will support the atmosphere in the best possible way, so it is worth using it alone or in combination with orange, white or gold.
For a children’s party, you can use brighter cheerful shades in combination with black, they look good: orange and hot pink, caramel and white. If you are planning a corporate party, try to add some polish by adding shiny glossy textures to the decorations.
Ironic jewellery
Decorations for Halloween do not always have to be frightening, but on the contrary, this holiday is often decorated with fun, sparkling objects with meaning. We especially love the cute stylizations of the characteristic symbols of the holiday, namely pumpkins, owls, bats, witches and skeletons.
All these characters can be made of a variety of materials: fabric, paper, rhinestones, threads, and used to decorate invitations, table setting, in the form of landing cards, brooches and much more. One has only to turn to fantasy, or be inspired by our ideas, to get a fun and memorable holiday!
