Bewildering Home Decor Ideas by Seasons

Home decor is not only a reflection of your personalities, tastes and lifestyle, it can also express the changing seasons of the year. Decorating by seasons allows, in addition to a breath of fresh air inside doors, to combine the interior with the exterior, for a harmoniously decorated house where you feel like being.

SPRING

The most flowery season of the year brings with it sunny and pleasant days that require a lighter and fresher decoration, that is, heavier and winter textiles can be replaced by cottons, silks and soft linen, preferably in vibrant and cheerful colors. Color notes should also extend to other decorative objects: exchange dark candles for lighter versions; opt for pieces in glass and other transparencies, even exchanging frames and frames to display lighter and more colorful images. Replace heavy rugs with more delicate versions. Spring is also synonymous with fresh flowers, thorough cleaning, organization and remodeling projects, all in time for a sweet and well-decorated Easter.

SUMMER

Queen of white and pastels, summer requires simplicity and absolute relaxation, that is, translucent and fluttering curtains, glass vases with shells and stones collected from the seaside, flowery or nautical-inspired textiles, a chic cottage style that is comfortable and visually pleasing. As in spring, opt for fresh and airy tones; they can even keep rugs to reveal the floor, where it feels so good to walk barefoot; and even rearrange furniture around windows or sliding doors that look outside. The hottest time of the year also entices us to spend more time outdoors, so enjoy and breathe new life into your garden, patio or balcony.

AUTUMN

Just as in spring the whole house prepares to receive the longest and hottest days, the arrival of autumn is a reminder to prepare the house for the shorter, darker and colder days ahead. It’s time to go back to saving or replacing pillow covers, curtains, rugs and sofa covers with cozier textures and in warmer colors (highlighting reds, browns and oranges, which is still a good time to use black). In terms of decorative notes, bet on pieces of art with a darker palette, including elements in copper, brass and iron. The pleasant blankets are guaranteed a place on the backs of the sofas and at the foot of the bed, as well as the wicker baskets with firewood, pine cones or an arrangement with beautiful autumn leaves.

WINTER

Although cold and rainy, the arrival of winter is always associated with Christmas, a festive period that we celebrate with pomp and circumstance and, preferably, with good decoration. In addition to the Christmas scenes, they can rearrange the furniture around the fireplace and bet on lighting, making use of table and floor lamps, as well as candles to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The trend is to continue to use and abuse the most cozy textures and colors, while watching the rain hit the windows. As the time of year we spend the most time at home, part of which is hanging out with friends and family, bet on the table decoration to welcome guests in style.
